Here is a poem that I heard on TED. The talk was given by Aimee Mullins in 2009. Her video is available on YouTube.

Every child has known God,
Not the God of names,
Not the God of don'ts,
Not the God who ever does anything weird,
But the God who knows only 4 words.
And keeps repeating them, saying "Come dance with Me, come dance."

--Hafiz

This poem reminds me of God's true nature: He loves to be with me and for me to spend time with him.

He doesn't care about where I am or what other people think of me. I don't have to put on heirs or be something I'm not. He is not asking me to dance for him like some trained monkey, either.

God is simply inviting me into who He is: Generous, patient and loving.
